Vincent Browne
Chief Executive Officer
Vincent continues to lead the company’s expansion across Europe, bringing a wealth of experience with his extensive background of over 20 years in senior and c-suite level management in the areas of finance and operations, including M&A, project finance and capital market transactions across listed and private companies. Vincent has predominantly worked in the public markets as CEO or CFO of OTC listed companies and as a consultant to others involving M&A, spin outs and corporate restructuring. Vincent also founded a couple of technology start-ups that became leaders in their respective fields and previously held the position of Head of Procurement with Esat Telecom Group, Ireland’s premier competitive telecom operator, quoted on NASDAQ. Given his experience, Vincent brings to Alternus an entrepreneurial, innovative mindset crafting the way forward to the success the company has achieved to date. Vincent holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from University College Dublin and is also a contributor in the commercialization of research and technology projects with the Technology and Enterprise Campus at Trinity College Dublin.

Joseph Duey
Chief Financial Officer
Joseph’s experience of over 20 years in the development, construction and financing of renewable energy assets including key operating management, finance and audit functions, ensures that he is well suited to drive the financial operations at Alternus. Joseph’s previous roles include CFO of Green States Energy, Inc. (GSE), an IPP where he assisted in the growth of the company from zero assets to over $70M of assets and over $7M of annual long term contracted revenue over a 3-year period. Joseph also held the position of Controller for Power Partners a division of MasTec (MTZ). The Power Partners group installed over 3.5 GWp of wind assets in the United States as the electrical contractor over a 7-year period. Other positions have included various finance and operations roles with Fortune 500 manufacturing companies, including the SPX Corporation and the Goodrich Corporation. Joseph was appointed as CFO in Alternus in 2018 and holds an MBA from the University of Illinois and has achieved CPA, CMA, CIA, and CFM designations.

David Farrell
Chief Commercial Officer
David joined the executive management team at Alternus Energy in 2022. He oversees all commercial and M&A activity for the Company in addition to leading the funding and investment activities in conjunction with the CFO and CEO. He has over 20 years’ experience across capital markets, incorporating project finance, infrastructure and renewables, and finance industry. Prior to joining Alternus Energy, he was a Director of Corporate Finance at advisory firm Grant Thornton. Additional previous roles include Director of Mergers & Acquisitions at the investment bank, Duff & Phelps, Regional Head of Debt Structuring at the accountancy firm, FGS and various management roles in corporate, institutional, and commercial banking, together with several advisory board roles. In these roles, Mr. Farrell acquired extensive experience on both sides of corporate, real estate, and infrastructure and renewable financings along with numerous M&A transactions.

Taliesin Durant
Chief Legal Officer
Taliesin was appointed as General Counsel in Alternus in 2018. Given her wealth of experience and solutions orientated and methodical style, Taliesin ensures the company takes the best legal approach across all levels of the business. Taliesin has served in senior operating roles in a variety of corporate and public enterprises for over twenty years, providing general corporate legal advice. Taliesin’s most recent role was as the President of Dart Business Services LLC, a company which she founded in 2010. Dart Business Services provided consultancy services to a few small public and private companies, similar to those provided by a general counsel or in-house counsel and corporate secretary. Prior to founding Dart, Taliesin was the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary of Flint Telecom Group and previously Taliesin spent 8 years at Semotus Solutions as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary where she was part of the team that took the company from its listing on the OTC Markets to Amex and then to Nasdaq Taliesin holds a BA in Economics from Connecticut College and is a member of the California State Bar Association, having earned a Juris Doctor degree at North-western School of Law at Lewis and Clark College and completed her final year at Santa Clara University School of Law.

Gary Swan
Chief Technical Officer
Gary joined Alternus in 2021 as Chief Technical Officer bringing with him 30 years’ construction experience where he has worked on the design, construction, operation and sale of approximately 1 GWp of renewable energy assets while demonstrating a significant track record of delivering projects safely, on time, on budget and managing successful client and partner relationships. For the 3 years prior to joining Alternus, Gary was responsible for the construction of several large-scale wind and solar projects owned by Actis Energy portfolio companies AELA Energia (Chile) and BioTherm Energy (Africa), where he held the role of acting Technical Director. Prior to Actis, he spent almost 6 years at Mainstream Renewable Power, where as Head of Construction he held the responsibility for delivering wind and solar projects through the construction phase into operation across Europe, North America, Latin America and Africa. During this time, Gary managed relationships with Mainstream’s JV partners Actis and JV platforms Lekela Power (Africa) and AELA Energia. He was Mainstream’s representative on the project Steering Committees and alternate director on project company boards. He also held interim responsibility over a two-year period for all aspects of safety, security and quality within the Mainstream group. Gary has a BAI in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering from Trinity College Dublin and an MSc in Project Management from the University College Dublin Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Gita Shah
Chief Sustainability Officer
Gita joined Alternus in 2017 combining her passion for sustainability with her profession. In 2021, she was promoted to the role of Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO). Gita works closely with the executive team to ensure that sustainability is applied to all areas of the business and Environmental, Social & Governance criteria are fulfilled. This approach ensures success for the business while also positively impacting stakeholders.
Prior to becoming the CSO, Gita was the Strategic Planning Manager and was instrumental in the company’s rapid growth by achieving strategic goals across business development, project acquisitions, marketing, communications, and recruitment. Prior to joining Alternus Energy, Gita was a Development Executive in Stream Bioenergy, an Irish renewable energy company. While there, she assisted in securing permits for two Anaerobic Digestion plants in Ireland.
Gita holds a BSc in Spatial Planning and Environmental Management from Technological University Dublin. She has studied at the Innovation Academy in University College Dublin and recently completed a course in Business Sustainability Management from Cambridge Online University.

Larry Farrell
Chief Information Officer
Larry joined Alternus in 2019 excited by the company’s plans for growth and at the prospect of getting involved in one of the fastest growing industries across Europe. With over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles across production, operations and service delivery management, in both startups and fortune 500 companies, Larry brings with him the necessary expertise to facilitate the company’s operational expansion across Europe. In his previous role as senior director of global operations for Xerox, consolidating and developing support systems and infrastructure globally, Larry successfully managed a team of 300+ people across multiple lines of the business. Larry brings a core skillset of building and managing cross functional global teams in an international environment simultaneously enabling growth whilst maintaining control at all operational levels. Larry is ITIL and Lean Six Sigma certified and studied Mechanical Engineering at Dundalk Institute of Technology and holds Diplomas in Management from Dublin Business School and Printing and Graphic Communication from Technological University Dublin.

Stefano Stavrogiannis
Italian Country Manager
Stefano joined the Alternus team in 2016 with an appetite to become more involved in the solar industry and over time he became the Italian Country Manager with the responsibility for project operations in Italy including new business development opportunities, project origination on Italian project acquisitions. With over 20 years of experience in consultancy activities in manufacturing, oil, gas and renewables Stefano brings with him a deep industry knowledge that supports the smooth and efficient running of Alternus Energy’s Italian country operations. In 2003 he founded Delta Sigma Ltd which specializes in Business Development and Strategy Consultation for the growth and development of SME’s in manufacturing, energy including oil, gas and renewables and infrastructures across Italy, Greece, Romania and the Middle East. Delta Sigma also provided consultancy to its clients on the acquisition and construction of refineries, lines transmission and power plants powered with natural gas and renewables sources, also supporting the development of a number of renewables projects in the form of several biogas plant projects in Italy for Enerfin SPA.

Ionela Cainaru
Romanian Country Manager
Ionela has over 14 years of experience in financial accounting with an extensive knowledge and expertise in energy production, supply and trading. Having joined the Alternus team in 2016 Ionela serves as the Romanian Country Manager where she runs the project operations in Romania in a highly efficient manner, including all energy trading activities and reporting to the relevant authorities. Ionela is a certified accountant and holds a BSc in Accounting and Management Informatics from the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University Lucian Blaga in Sibiu and is a certified accountant and member of CECCAR.

Bram Broshius
Head of Business Development
Bram joined the Alternus team in 2019 leading on the identification and screening of new investment opportunities and the origination of new partnerships with project developers to unfold a pipeline that matches the company’s growth ambitions. With over 13 years of experience in the solar PV industry in various project management and business development roles Bram has cultivated a far-reaching international network in the solar industry making Bram the ideal candidate to lead on new business development opportunities across Europe for Alternus. Specifically, Bram has coordinated on the acquisition of multiple solar PV projects in Italy and Spain for various investor groups and has spent 7 years as a broker between project developers, EPC contractors and investors in the Solarif Group.

Neil Shah
Group Financial Controller
Neil joined Alternus in 2021 as Group Financial Controller bringing with him over 10 years of global financial leadership experience across finance, treasury, audit and information technology for various global organizations. At Alternus Neil is responsible for supporting the company’s global financial activities including accounting and controllership, financial planning and analysis, acquisitions, treasury, tax, internal audit and investor relations. Prior to joining Alternus, Neil held the position of Finance Controller at a renowned construction company in Dubai, UAE, where he took ownership and ensured successful delivery of financial commitments with significant margin improvements across the portfolio. Neil’s other positions have included various finance roles with companies such as Dow Jones, Laureate Pharmaceuticals and Ernst & Young. Neil holds both a Bachelors and Masters in Accounting from the Business School at Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA.
